Mid Churnet Craft Club

The Mid Churnet Craft Club met in St.Werburgh’s Church on Wednesday, 28th May.

Eight members were able to come along and craft

Although we were low on numbers due to holidays, we had a lively meeting.

Lauren was busy making Father’s Day cards for her dad and grandfather.

Her gran, Sue and Diane were working on our kneelers, which are starting to take shape. A flower tapestry kept Linda busy. Jane was working on a baby blanket. Gill showed us the “Head and Tail” cat cross stitch kit which she will turn into a bag when it’s finished. Nick had decided to make fridge magnets and Deb made cards using vinyl embellishments.

If you would like to join our Craft Club, please come along, we would be pleased to see you! It’s a great place to make new friends, learn something new, or just come along for a cuppa and a chat. You may also have a craft that you’d like to share with us! We are an informal, very friendly group, who are always willing to help and learn from each other. Our members are of all ages and from in and around the Benefice and beyond. If you don’t have a craft, but would like to start crafting, we’ll start you off.

Meetings are only £1.00 which includes refreshments. Details of meetings will be on the pew sheet and posters

It’s a great place to make new friends, learn something new, or just come along for a cuppa and a chat. You may also have a craft that you’d like to share with us! You don’t need expensive craft materials to start crafting either.

We are an informal, friendly group, willing to help and learn from each other. Our members are of all ages and from in and around the Benefice and beyond.

We have one lady who brings her grand-daughter and craft club is part of their quality time together. If you don’t have a craft, but would like to start crafting, we’ll start you off.

You can either make items to sell in church or for a small fee take them home.

Our current project includes a kneeler, which everyone is welcome to work on.

Meetings are only £1.00 which includes refreshments.
